ERIC JOHNSON
Whitney Fordman on the WB's "Smallville"

Making his television series debut, Eric Johnson stars in the new action-adventure drama "Smallville" as Lana Lang’s (Kristin Kreuk) football jock boyfriend Whitney.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Johnson enrolled in a theater school at age 9 and soon began performing in professional theater and landing small film and television roles. At 14, he appeared in the epic Western drama "Legends of the Fall" playing Brad Pitt’s character Tristan in his youth.

On television, Johnson appeared in the movies "Atomic Train" with Rob Lowe, Kristin Davis and Mena Suvari; "Oklahoma City" with Kathy Baker as a survivor of the Oklahoma City bombing; and "Children of Fortune." He starred in the leading role in "Scorn," a feature film drama based on a true story about a high school student who hired two teens to murder his family. The independent film received rave reviews and aired on television in Canada.

On the big screen, he will be seen opposite James Van Der Beek and Dylan McDermott in "Texas Rangers," the upcoming Western about how a ragtag group of youngsters banded together after the Civil War and were charged with the dangerous, ruthless duty of cleaning up the West. Additional credits include the independent films "Borderline Normal," "Question of Privilege," "Heart of the Sun" and "Road to Saddle River."

When not working, Johnson enjoys playing guitar, camping and playing basketball, football and baseball. He is relocating to Vancouver to shoot "Smallville."
